GS1 Hong Kong - Streamlining Global eCommerce

GS1 Hong Kong (香港貨品編碼協會), is the new name of the non-profit Hong Kong Article Numbering Association. They are an Industry driven organization promoting global standards, best practices and enabling technologies in teh areas of global value and supply chain management.

GS1 Hong Kong is the only organization authorized by Hong Kong to issue GS1 and EPC identification numbers. These identification numbers are used for different products, locations and trading parnters. Their core services are in barcoding & article numbering, e-commerce, Electronic Product Code/Radio Frequency Identification (EPC/RFID) and Global Data Synchronization (GDS). Each of these are core elements in product and data standardization between trading partners conducting global eCommerce.

Another great step forward is that they have also developed developed the GS1 HK Data Pool. The Data Pool was developed with compliance to the global GDSN standards delivering data accuracy for the Hong Kong trading community. This translates to clean data with less errors facilitating and streamline global eCommerce between US and Hong Kong and thier direct communities.
