11th Webby Awards -Beastie Boys hip-hopped their way to Artist of the year!

Special Achievement Award Winners of The 11th Annual Webby Awards are announced!<

The Beastie Boys, hip-hop pioneers, are the Webby's Artists of the year!
Their cuttung-edge 2006 interactive concert film "Awesome, I F***ing Shot That" was filmed by audience members using hand-held cameras handed out during the concert.

The Beastie Boys have been advocates of flexible copyright rules that let artists and fans legally share, swap, and remix their music. So it is no surprise that they are embracing new marketing in cutting-edge ways.
