VidZone's cross-platform solution - Standardizes with Partners to deliver DRM free content

I covered thier deal with Sony BMG earlier this month to offer DRM free music downloads.   They also have partners like EMI that offers DRM-free content.

DRM is Digital Rights Management.  DRM is used to manage licensing and payment when you download a song.  DRM free means no license throttling per song on each device once you have paid for the service or song.

VidZone has both mobile and PC platforms called the D2C download platform.  The VidZone platform prvoides streaming and downloadable audio and video in realtone and video ringtone formats.

VidZone's cross-platform also allows third parties to launch branded mobile and PC music services with a one account tied to both mobile and PC platforms. This is not new - I have done this with various services for the past year.

The key here is their growing list of content and operator partnerships.  VidZone has content partnerships with Virgin Mobile, T-mobile, British operators 3, O2, and Vodafone.  They also have around 36 international mobile networks and WAP sites.  VidZone also recently announced a fully integrated Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) billing with their services.

VidZones move standardizes the download, licensing and payment processes between their platforms, business and partners.
