VoIP PC to Handsets - It's Illegal in India

It's illegal in India to use VoIP from PC-to-telephone or mobile handsets.

But that has'nt stopped a few brave residents from using Google
Talk and Skype's ability to let them talk free- or less expensively.

As you can imagine-this is really impacting the country's telecom
service providers. This growing acceptance-even though illegal- is forcing the operators to drastically drop international long distance call fees.

Note- Using VoIP to talk between
PCs is allowed. The user must have a PC and a broadband connection or a cyber café connection. It's the telephone and mobile handsets they have made the sticking point.
