Nokia and Immersion Partner- VibeTonz tactile feedback system on Nokia handsets

Nokia and Immersions partnership gives Nokia users a more intuitive and immersive experience when interacting with the user interface to applications, user features and multimedia content.

In the deal, Immersion granted Nokia the rights to implement their VibeTonz Mobile Player in Nokia mobile handsets. This gives Nokia mobile users control over the vibration functions that produces tactile cues in response to pressing the touchscreen.

Immersion and Nokia's partnership also enables developers to design downloadable applications and content for VibeTonz-enabled devices/handsets.

The license gives Nokia global rights to post Immersion's VibeTonz SDK on the Nokia developers community forum.

The VibeTonz SDK provides developers with true cross-platform APIs and authoring tools translating into more development and custimization for Nokia handset mobile application development.
