T-Mobile and Fixed Mobile Convergence - Launch of an Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) service plan

The service is called HotSpot@Home.  It is baed on Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA)-based fixed mobile convergence (FMC) service.  This allows their subscribers to make calls from home or from any T-Mobile Hot Spot via WiFi.

 

The service enables T-Mobile subscribers to make WiFi or cellular calls using a single number.  They can also switch those calls between both networks. HotSpot@Home's introductory rates are around $10 a month to individual users' T-Mobile calling plans.  If you need more lines for family members they offer a pakcage of five extra lines for $20 a month with family alling plans.
