Johnson & Johnson is fine tuning their pharma operations.
As a result Bay arev Scios and Alza are handing down the pink slips.

J&J is reportdely closing the doors at theie Alza's Mountain View facility laying off 600 workers.

This Alza location is J&J's R&D facility. It was geared to be the hub for any which had been structured to tweak the pharma giant's therapies. The San Jose Mercury News also reported that Scios, marketer of Natrecor, has already seen the pink slips fly. More cuts are expected.
