Writers Guild of America brings good news for Writers!

Writers Guild of America (WGA) is finally making ground on behalf of our writers with production studios in Hollywood. We may have new shows very soon!

The issue for the 100+ day strike is that writers contracts do not allow for payment for work that is distributed on the Internet. This form of Internet media is called New Media. New Media includes things like streaming multimedia TV shows, music and other forms of downloadable entertainment.

With the heavy movement towards entertainment on the Internet (PC, digital devices and mobile entertainment) this could and has represented a huge financial loss for writers.

We are looking for a final approval tomorrow which might mean writers will go back to work Wednesday! So new shows episodes could start appearing in a month! We will keep you posted on final contract details.
