USi is an AT&T Company - Identity Theft on the RISE!

USinternetworking, Inc. (USi), an AT&T company, and claims that they are the most experienced Application Service Provider (ASP). This is the company that was involved with the Sterling Commerce Employee ID theft from a missing laptop.

Also noted is that AT&T also had data stolen from a laptop this month - not sure if it was from USi or not. What is concerning here is that USi is a global hosting service provider. So it will be very interesting to see just how many clients (other than their own sister and potentially their parent company) were involved in the Identity Theft of thousands of peoples' IDs. Note - this could turn out to be one of the largest breaches to date. However, AT&T is not disclosing the numbers of people involved - nor did Sterling Commerce. We will keep you posted.
