Google just invested $3.9 million in biotech start-up 23andMe.
Google is one of several investors in 23andM.

Why Biotech for Google? 23andMe was founded by Google co-founder Sergey Bri's wife.

23andMe is an early stage startup developing tools and producing content to help people make sense of their genetic information. Their goal is to take advantage of new genotyping technologies to help consumers explore their genetics, informed by cutting edge science.
