Goole Maps creators leave Google - reportedly working with Benchmark Capital

People in the VC wolrd say that there is too much money chasing too few good deals.  VC Ratings reports that high quality deals may spark an increase in direct proportion to the number of Google engineers leaving the company for entrepreneurial pursuits.

 

Who bolted? Jim Norris and Bret Taylor.  You don't know them?  Well they were the two guys at Google who are responsbile for developing the market-rocking Google Maps product.  They are taking positions as entrepreneurs at Benchmark Capital. They are reportedly working on consumer products and the Internet.
