Sony and T-Mobile promo targets PSP users

Sony Computer Entertainment America is running a promotion that will let PSP users play games online and browse the Internet - all from their PSP. I did this while in Mexico with a local hotspot and it worked very well. However, their UI navigation needs to be revisted.

T-Mobile is playing in the promo too. Users can download podcasts on all 7,000 of T-Mobile USA's hotspots -FREE for six months! To get the functionality PSP users need to upgrade their firmware to version 3.0 from the Sony website.

Bottom line-This promo is designed to build T-Mobiles' user-base for on-line gaming. After the six FREE months are over, T-Mobile will offer a special subscription rates for PSP users.
