Amp'd Mobile -Shutting down services July 24th!

Amp'd Mobile is an MVNO. The term MVNO stands for Mobile Virtual Network Operator. With changing technology and business models comes yet another defunct MVNO.

This weekend they sent a text message to their subscribers telling them that service will stop on July 24th. Urging subscribers to port their numbers to another carrier. Amp'd has said that there are no early termination fees-haha. However, prepaid subscribers might get a rebate or refund -but you have to file a claim "to be considered for payment." That line is key. Reportedly, Amp'd is in discussions with several parties to hopefully get acquired as a last ditch effort. Port your number NOW is the best option for you if you are an Amp'd Mobile customer.
