Qualcomm - Still waiting for President Bush to Veto their ITC ban

Qualcomm's request fell on deaf ears at the U.S. Court of Appeals recently. They wanted to delay an import ban that was placed on them by the International Trade Commission.

For those of you who don't know Qualcomm was found to have infringed on patents held by rival chipmaker Broadcom Corp.

Qualcomm even asked President Bush to help them out with a veto.
The court countered it cannot issue a stay during the 60-day presidential
review period that ends August 6.

It is ported that "The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit denied the request for stay on a procedural basis that the issue was
not ripe for their consideration until after the passage of the presidential
review period,"

If the President does not veto the ITC decision, Qualcomm can and will, re-file its appeal for a stay.
