Motorola buys Leapstone System - Motorola leverages Universal Platform for delivery of converged video, voice and data service bundles

Leapstone Systems, a privately-held communications software developer,
will provide Motorola with a universal platform for rapid creation, management and delivery of converged video, voice and data service bundles spanning multiple networks and devices.

Leapstone's flagship product, named Communications Convergence Engine, is key with the deal. Leapstone's real-time service delivery platform provides mobile and fixed network operators with a Service Broker and Content Manager allowing them to streamline their solutions.

Leapstone Systems customers include AT&T and Verizon Wireless. Motorola reports that the transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2007.
