Meraki steps up to facilitate WiFi in San Francisco

Meraki wants to provide affordable Internet to the masses! They are doing this through volunteers. Yes-you read it right. Meraki already has around 6,500 users-of that-200 are volunteers sharing bandwidth via repeaters located on their property.

Here's how it works- volunteers use Meraki's WiFi repeaters and broadband connections to provide the service. They place Merakis' repeaters on their balconies, roofs or in windows to provide the coverage.

Right now services are restricted to Delores Park and Castro area. To get full coverage Meraki's needs about 2000 volunteers. So- If you live in San Fran and want to to host their repeaters as a volunteer-look them up!

Don't follow the path that is already there....go instead where there is no path....and leave a trail....

This trail is a part of a long journey .....
