Blessings to Cameron Diaz and Family - Her father Emilio Diaz passed away this past Tuesday

Emilio Diaz (age 58)died Tuesday from complications due to pneumonia.

Cameron Diaz, is a friend I met four years ago through mutual friends. I was fortunate to spend some time with her family including her father Emilio. He was a longshoreman in his early days off of Long Beach.

One thing I do know - is that he lived to love life and loved to live life.
He also loved his family dearly. I only shared a short moment in time with him and he impacted me with his infectious spirit for life. I can only imagine how he will be missed by all that had the great opportunity to meet him and share his spirit for life and people.

It was reported by many news feeds that - Production has halted on her current film, My Sister's Keeper, as the actress has cleared her schedule to regroup with her family following the loss of her father.

"My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family," the actress said in a statement through publicist Brad Cafarelli. "My dad was loved by so many people and his humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts."
