NTT DoCoMo - Mobile users can interact with on-line games by waiving their cell phones
The mobile market is ON FIRE!
NTT DoCoMo, Japanese mobile operator, announced a new series of 3G FOMA 904i handsets. These handsets are embedded with motion sensors enabling a kinetic gaming interface.
So what does a kinetic gaming interface mean?
Future games can be played using intuitive motion. Mobile players can use their finger to trace motions, they can tilt the handset or wave it to interact with the game. Game content and interactivity determines the type of intuitive motion used in each game. Game titles include a maze-like challenge and a boxing game. Handsets will initially hit the Japanese retail market early this summer. The motion sensors used in the handsets are manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric.
