Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance -IT & Finance Departments need to collaborate

So what do you think happens when your IT department and Finance departments don't collaborate regarding Sarbanes-Oxley compliance?

DISASTER. Yes - it could be.

A new study reported found that 65% of compliance and audit managers think that IT personnel don't have the knowledge of risk and compliance issues. So how could they discuss identity and access management?

On the flip-side, 42% of those IT guys said audit and compliance
managers didn't have the technical expertise to effectively discuss compliance.

Bottom line-they better find some intermediaries to facilitate these meetings or maybe they will have one thing in common - court.
