iPhone-like Patent issued to European company

Recently the European Patent Office granted Innoventions, a European firm, the patent for a user interface feature called "tilt and scroll." The company calls it RotoView.

This display navigation system
feature allows you to tilt the phone right, left, up or down to see
past the virtual boundaries of the phones display area. Once you find what you are looking for you can zoom in or out on that key navigational area. This makes surfing a website faster than conventional scrolling. I guess all is fair when filing in another country. Unless Apple filed an international patent? Hummm...we shall see.
