Interactive TV and Mobile Texting

Many TV shows are getting on the band wagon of trying to engage viewers via texting from your mobile handset.

The wide-spread use of text voting was started by American Idol. From there it was Game-On as the power was placed in the hands -well handsets- of viewers.

TV interactivity, today, could be in the form of texting a vote, answering a trivia question and most often - to buy ringtones. This will change as devices and services are converged.
But for now...its mainly texting.

This is all great as it allows you to text your opinion or comment and to make impulsive purchases using your cell phone.

Just make sure that your wireless plan is setup for the right amount of texts for your interactivity level. Also read the very fine print at the bottom of ringtone ads as they can involve monthly subscriber fees.

Have fun and know your wireless plan!
