Google extends Mobile Browser capabilities

Google just revealed that they have a mobile version of Google Gears. This is a browser extension software that provides developers with tools for storing web application data on
Cell phones.

Google Gears allows developers to create a standard web-based mobile platform. The result is that developers can develop applications only once for deployment across multiple mobile operating systems.

These mobile applications can run when there is no network signal. The benefit is that this will reduce data charges by throttling or restricting mobile data traffic between the device and the mobile operator.
